Snickerdoodles

Ingredients:
1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 t. cream of tartar
1 t. baking soda
1/4 t. salt
2 T. sugar
2 t. cinnamon

Directions:
1. Preheat to 400 degrees.
2. Cream together the butter, shortening and sugar and beat until smooth.
3. Add the eggs, mix for 15 seconds.
4. In another bowl, combine the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well.
6. Roll the dough into 1" balls.
7. Mix 2 T. sugar and the cinnamon.
8. Roll the balls into the sugar-cinnamon mixture.
9. Place the balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
10. Bake 8-10 minutes or until set.
11. Immediately remove from cookie sheet and place on cooling racks.

Yield 50 cookies
